📋Job description

We are a leading manufacturer of high‑quality construction materials — cement, aggregates, ready‑mix concrete, and building solutions. We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead business growth in the assigned territory. You will drive sales through channel partners, directly engage with builders and contractors, and expand our footprint in the region.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute territory sales plan to achieve revenue and volume targets for construction materials.
  • Manage and grow relationships with dealers, distributors, and key accounts (real estate developers, contractors).
  • Identify new business opportunities in infrastructure projects and large construction sites.
  • Lead a team of sales executives — provide coaching, monitor performance, and ensure daily field activity.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing; report insights to regional management.
  • Coordinate with supply chain to ensure timely delivery and resolve customer issues.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for architects and civil engineers.

🔑 Requirements & eligibility

  • Experience: 5–8 years in sales of building materials (cement, steel, aggregates, tiles, paints, or similar).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BBA / B.Com / Engineering preferred). MBA is a plus.
  • Local knowledge: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the assigned territory.
  • Channel expertise: Proven track record of managing distributor networks and institutional sales.
  • Languages: Fluency in English, Hindi, and regional language (Marathi / Gujarati).
  • Skills: Negotiation, relationship building, and proficiency in CRM tools.

🎯Eligibility & preferred qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree mandatory. MBA (Marketing) or Diploma in Sales will be an added advantage.

Industry experience

  • Minimum 3 years in building materials (cement, RMC, aggregates, construction chemicals).
  • Experience handling government infrastructure projects is a plus.

Personal attributes

Self‑starter, able to travel extensively (own vehicle required), result‑oriented, and strong leadership skills.
